Suiting Up reflects on the daily activity of a Christian believer, unseen in this world but clearly apparent in the spiritual one. At kitchen tables in our bathrobes, in the car on the way to work, or at night as we drift off to sleep, we take up the armor we have been given to forward God’s way of life to the world around us. With careful preparation and discipline, with constant connection to our Creator, we are given small and great moments to proclaim the truth, and I wanted to portray the ordinary and extraordinary elements of that here.

I Stand at the Door is a reflection of the invitation made to all of us in Revelation 3:20:
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
Originally painted around the theme of lament, I realized that even in despair and grief, our journey doesn’t end there. As we cast our cares on Him, Jesus indeed shares our load in times of feast and famine. I hope the colors and vibrancy here reminds you of the abundance of love, joy, and peace found in our savior, today and for eternity.
